+ This movie comes right after Will Smith's I Am Legend breaks the box office records making millions of dollars. The movie got good reviews but some critics claim that the some of the plot's twists needed a few more scenes to explain the relationship between Hancock and Ray's wife, "Will Smith, Mom, apple pie and the Fourth of July. It doesn't get any better," said Rory Bruer, head of distribution for Sony. "People just so relate to him and the characters that he plays. They totally embraced it as something different, something fresh.". It led the Fourth of July weekend with a $66 million debut, according to studio estimates Sunday. So far it has raised a total of $107.3 million since it opened. Hancock has focussed more on comedy than the action even though from the trailers people will think it is a super hero action movie. But the movie does have some drama in between too.
